outline
As fall arrives in the Northeast and the waters cool, fish start migrating south, and the pace of fishing picks up. Hungry fish become more aggressive, striking harder and faster, making every cast an exciting challenge. For anglers, it’s a thrilling time where quick adjustments and fast reflexes are key.
In this video, we will dive into the art and passion behind fly fishing. Starting in the cozy setting of an angler’s workshop. We’ll capture the intricate details of fly tying. The vibrant colors, unique shapes, and precise craftsmanship, born from countless hours of studying fish, waterways, and changing seasons.
From there, we head to the coast, where the angler meets friends for a day of adventure. Hopping over rocks, trekking though sand, and casting into the surf.
This piece will show the beauty, dedication, and connection to the natural world at the heart of fly fishing.

WInter surfing + board shaping
Winter brings icy waters and bigger swells to Maine’s coastline, demanding true grit from those who surf through the harshest season. In this piece, we’ll capture the beauty and commitment it takes to chase a winter swell. The story begins in the warmth of a board shaper’s workshop, where craftsmanship and passion come to life. Then, we head to the snowy shore, where surfers brave freezing waves. Finally, the day ends with friends huddled around a beach fire, reflecting on the adventure and the unforgettable winter surf.
Springtime sheep shearing
As spring arrives in Maine, sheep shearers set out to remote farms, taking on the rugged task of trimming thousands of sheep. It’s physically demanding work—long hours spent in tough conditions, battling unpredictable weather and rough terrain. But despite the challenges, their passion for this centuries-old craft remains strong. Their lives reflect resilience, tradition, and a deep connection to the land and animals they care for. It’s a way of life that requires not just strength and skill, but a true dedication to the craft and the environment.
